"Harry Kottler's poetry is among the most inspired that I've read - and that's including poetry of centuries gone by... From his favorite spiritual teachings to intimate sharings of his personal experiences, the message behind Harry's poetry is hopeful yet realistic; poetic yet practical and very honest, friendly, and easy on the mind and spirit. I recommend his works for anyone who relishes exploring the meaning of life."

A GREAT BOOK:
I'm Going to the Moon! is a collection of poetry which is alive. While touching subject matter which is of profound significance, it is as zany and unpredictable as the rhyme of Dr. Seuss or Roald Dahl. Harry Kottler (who has practiced meditation and studied Eastern philosophy and poetry for nearly three decades) provides a modern entrée into the realm of ecstatic contemplation and living.

Let's Hear from you!

We are looking for people who appreciate the Kottler's art or appreciate it and wish to purchase it or sponsor it.

Harry and Helen Kottler (Chitrakar and Savitri) are two artists who deserve a retrospective exhibition. Workings individually and collaboratively for two decades, they have created a body of works which is unparalleled in recent art history. This work is diverse and brilliant. It challenges the predominant world view of the current aesthetic establishment. With lightheartedness, spontaneity, focus, and personal honesty, the Kottlers' works exalt love, humanity, God and experiences of transcendence.

When asked what these works are about, Harry and Helen bravely exclaim, "God." In a painting from 1989, Harry presents a blissful figure along with the words, "God is not a four-letter word." Actually, in the art world, talking about God often provokes reactions of as much embarrassment and shame as did the use of the worst four letter words in the past. A good deal of the art world has embraced cynicism and disbelief and thrown out human faith and positivity. Art directly nurtured Westerner spiritual needs in churches during the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Art indirectly nurtured Westerner spiritual needs in salons, galleries and museums in later ages. Many in the Art Establishment now value only intellectual game playing, socio-political protest and emotional manipulation. Many artists now are afraid of revealing their own humanity in their works of art.

Against the bleak backdrop of Contemporary Art, the art of Harry and Helen Kottler is revelatory. The ideas which underlie the Kottlers' work are as follows: the human soul is paramount; love is the basis of existence; tranquility can be achieved through discipline and contemplation; freshness and spontaneity are manifestations of the underlying nature of reality; and, art is self reflective.

In our on-line retrospective there are twenty pieces by the artists. The Kottler's have almost a thousand works of art. A physical retrospective, with many more works from their various periods would be incredibly impressive; it would feed the hearts and souls of starving souls who have been wandering on art's often barren plain. These people would feel like the man who went to a Washington D.C. cocktail party and met a couple who had genuine friendliness and warmth, as well as, interest in human issues and personal growth. He called across the room to his wife, "Come here, darling. I've met real people!" Starving souls will shout for joy, crying, " Come here, friends. I've found real art; art which is more than artifice and style."

The future already is. Good people who are waiting to experience the inner wealth of beauty and meaning in the art of Harry and Helen Kottler. Collectors, sponsors, art dealers and art curators are invited to step forward and make the work of these two artists well known. CONTACT US.
